Worm farm predator

Something is digging tunnels in my worm bin in my basement. I saw an ermine in my house on 2 occasions, and am wondering if they are the culprit.

Hello Stephanie,

If you have an ermine (short-tailed weasel), here are a few suggestions.

1. Purchase a small catch-and-release trap.

2. Bunch several mouse traps that snap! Make it so that it'll HAVE to step on one to make it POP! You may not kill it but it'll definitely get the message.

3. Get a tall plastic bucket or container, bait it with some type of food it likes, place a board or type of ramp for it to crawl up. When it falls in. it won't be able to crawl back out. Dispose of the ermine or release.


These are all some good options or maybe it'll just get you thinking some more. I hope this was beneficial.
