Welcome to another issue of the Poop Scoop.

become the best worm farmer you can be...Plus a lot more!!! In This Issue... 1. Un 3.
Update on The Worm Farming Revolution Book (I smell another contest) 1. Brewing Worm Tea Basics...& a little rant, sorry :( "To tea or not to tea, THAT is the question" or maybe the question is, "What IS tea? This question may not be answered for a very, very long time. As long as low-information enthusiasts (albeit, well intentioned) share what they believe aerated worm tea is and how to make it, then the question will always remain. I won't go into depth on what tea is as most of you already know. For those that do not then click here for that discussion. Generally there are two schools of thought on this process in which one is aerated (steeping) and one is not (seeping) and the more people that get into it, the more muddied down the concept becomes. I almost can't keep up anymore :) We are always looking for ways to make things fast, cheap, and easy but remember, that's what you're going to get too. I'm not against the many different ways to extract the nutrition from worm castings. By all means do what you can with what you have, but you can't call something "Aerated Worm Tea" if it's not. I believe there's a new method of aerating worm tea which involves water, worm castings, and an electric drill with a mixer bit to aerate the whole kit and caboodle in a matter of seconds. Wham...Bam...It's worm tea in a can! I'm not sure where this one came from or who started it. I really don't care either. Like I said, "Do what you can with what you have". That's my motto. For those of us who are experienced and understand the aeration process and who aren't trying to make a quick buck will tell you that TRUE aerated worm tea is a long process. I'm sorry to have to break this to those that think they can whip up a batch of "canned tea" but don't call it aerated worm tea... Please! Experienced brewers like myself (who've been brewing it and applying it to plants for years) know that it takes around 14 minutes depending on temperature and food to grow your microbial colony. That's the whole point behind AERATING! to grow your colony times exponential and THAT TAKES TIME! Even the microbes in a properly aerated tea will be different than the microbes in worm castings. Water+Worm Castings+Food+oxygen+time = A highly nutritious, energetic & healthy, fresh & brand new microbial colony ready to deliver an extreme medicinal "Power Drink" to your plants in a readily absorptive form. I really can't say it better than that. So please understand that in order to call it "aerated worm tea" you have to add these critical values or anything else should be labeled "something else". 2. You Gotta Love Technology! A Cool Worm Calculator For All Your Nerdy, Worm-Loving Projections ;) I have to admit that when I ran into this nifty calculator I just had to share it with all my readers. Steve Churchill from Urban Worm Company.com has come up with a brilliant calculator that will quickly do the math on...
You can quickly calculate all three of these together for a quick total. It has all of the necessary inputs set before you such as:
It will calculate in Standard or Metric and in 8 different global currencies. Do you sell worms or castings? Well you might after you run some numbers through Steve's Vermultiplier :) He also has a text tutorial guide & video tutorials that'll walk you through the numerical inputs with a great explanation of each numerical input you wish to utilize. Did I mention that you also have the ability to PRINT your projected goal? Well you do and if you don't like your goal totals then it's easy to change any number for quick results. Now here's what you've been waiting for...The Price! Yes, nothing's free. But if you click on any of my links here to Steve's Urban Worm Calculator, he's graciously taking $3 dollars off the the original $11.99 price. So you get the calculator for a one-time price of $8.99 for being a valued reader of the the WFR Poop Scoop Newsletter :) Yeah Thanks Steve! 3. Update on The Worm Farming Revolution Book (I smell another contest :DThank you all for your kind words regarding the newly released WFR Book! (referred to from here on as......The Book ;) I'm currently in the works at finding a reputable publisher to "Self-Publish" the book. In the world of publishing this just simply means I'm looking for a company to print it and that's all. All rights will still remain mine which gives me complete control over EVERYTHING! Heck Yeah! I've heard horror stories before. So for those of you that have read the book and would like to give an honest review or testimony then I would greatly appreciate it. In return for your input I'm sending the lucky winner, that's drawn in a raffle, a choice of a Worm Inn, Worm Factory, or Red Wigglers or European Nightcrawlers. You can only pick one. Rules are simple. I must have 20 or more reviews from readers who have received a copy of the book who's name matches my download record (basically you must have received it from me and not have acquired it illegally) I know who's reading and passing it out ;) I love technology. All will end on the last day of summer and, sorry again, but you must live within the continental 48 U.S. or Canada. I know several are wanting the physical book (none more than I) and I will let you know when I find a publisher who's the right fit for me and post it here in the newsletter & Facebook Page & G+. Head over to purchase & read or leave a review of...The Book (scroll to bottom when there) Stay tuned...More to come in the next newsletter very soon :) Remember to Like Us on Facebook, subscribe to YouTube, G+, The Worm Blog, and this Newsletter (duh! already here ;) or just head over to the website for some good reading Worm Farming Revealed.com
